If I were you, I'd wait until season 7 is about to air. The season 6 cliffhanger is frustrating to say the least.

The Walking Dead (Season 6)

Imo one of the best seasons. Many very good episodes, lots of good ones and quite a few great ones. Imo not a sinlge bad episode this time around. Sure, I hated the cliff hanger, but apart from that, I freaking loved the finale. So tense and great acting from everybody. This might be my second favorite season, actually. Can't wait to rewatch it on blu-ray and marathon all 16 episodes in only a few days

It's on the Target site, I preordered it, but it hasn't been labeled a steelbook yet.

I preordered this set when it hit $49.99. I doubt it'll go down lower. The only way to watch this is via the Blu-rays - there are more commercials crammed into cable broadcasts than ever before. Cable is worse than broadcast television when it comes to ads and stupid pop-ups.

I got the Best Buy lenticular slip versions of seasons 4 and 5 for $29.99 a piece (on release days), so no need to think this will be much different. 5 was actually cheaper as a pre-order offer gave a $5 gift card (couldn't use on that, but free money is free money!) I would say no price difference, but they've been charging more for exclusives lately and that might end up being the case for WD as well. Completely agree with watching the blus as the way to go, I loved seasons 4 and 5 when I binged them, was luke-warm at best when watching them week to week during original airings. Even with the dvr, lots of fast-forwarding through commercials that seem to never end.

I absolutely loved the season and I will definitely buy it....preferably a steelbook when it gets released.

On a side note, I really wished that Anchor Bay would release the first 3 seasons in UV like they did the others....I would actually pay to get these so that I have the complete series (so far) for on-the-go viewing.
