It's been some time since I've used Amazon.com and wondering how quick their expedited delivery is these days.

I recently used expedited shipping to get Star Wars: The Force Awakens to me ASAP. It was dispatched on the Monday (4th April) and was delivered by UPS 48-hours later on the Wednesday.
Expedited to the UK has always been 2 days in my experience. |

Thanks guys - my past experiences were more or less the same as yours, however what prompted me to ask was Amazon.com's shipping times info which shows expedited to UK taking 8-14 business days. Priority shipping on the other hand takes 2-3.

I got expedited and priority mixed up ![]() Yeah, as a general rule it takes about 2 days for priority and 7-10 days for expedited |

To be honest I've always found standard shipping is quick enough. I've never had to wait anywhere near the estimated 12-17 days. A few years back I pre-ordered the 2001 Steelbook, and upon release I received the dispatch email at around 8pm in the evening and the UPS man was at my door at about 6am the next day! Amazing. An extreme example, but even normally items usually arrive within a week and that's good enough for me!

Standard Shipping usually takes 10-15 days with me, expedited can be a few days quicker, but it's only really worth it if your item needs an import VAT deposit.
I think the best standard shipping has done is 7-8 days, but it's usually closer to woo weeks than one. |

Don't bother with expedited, they've changed their couriers and the cheapest option takes 4-7 days and expedited isn't any faster (I tried it once just to see). The only thing that seems to slow it down is the speed it passes through customs as it only takes 2-3 days for the parcels to arrive in the UK. The last few new releases I've bought have all arrived the Saturday after they came out.

Amazon.com shipping cheapest shipping takes to long for me mostly 2 - 3 weeks. The second takes about a week to 2 tops. and never paid for the priority.
On the other hand Amazon.ca takes 2 days on the cheapest shipping so under £15 I would go with CA but also I also need to take into account the distributor as well if I want to look at the Canadian option since take Riddick the last film it was universal in the US but E1 in Canada and why universal are region free E1 are not. |

I use Amazon.com quite often and most of the time it takes about a week from dispatch using the expedited option (the middle one).

I seen Edison, NJ, US and Heathrow, UK get here within a week but if its else where and goes to I think its Isleworth for customs clearing (that I might be wrong on not seen the name for a while) then it seems to take up to two weeks. |
