Exclamation Can I Connect A Samsung Syncmaster 940MG Monitor To A Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-Ray Player

I Just recently bought my self a Samsung BD-P1500 player and the only way i can connect it atm is using the old school red yellow and white cables i want HDMI but there is none at the back for it aarrgg is there any other better way? the moniter has a couple things.

I am new to the bluray world

According to the specs on the Syncmaster 940MG, you have a DVI port. Get this HDMI-to-DVI cable from Monoprice. Then use the analog outs/optical/coaxial for your sound.

19" is small to enjoy BD.

so u are saying i can enjoy Bluray on it? is the cable going to give me the same Quality as the hdmi cable? or just a lower quality? i thin kthe screen supports 1080i not 1080p but still its cool because mini screen in my room

That's a YES, YES and NO. For a 19" monitor that Blu-ray image will look mighty fine in 1080i. So enjoy!

nice now i need to go out and buy the cable i have one but the other end is another dvi also so i need to go out and buy a hdmi dvi not bad will do asap whats the best to use for audio? i am using logitech computer speakers 3.1 atm the other 2 broke down hehe so i am using 2 front speakers and a centre

Thanks guys i just bought the cable cost me $40 bucks but it was worth it ay i connected it changed settings on BD player now its sweet 1080I i can change it to P but i dont have p dont think but anyways the quality is blood ysweet its the best o nthis 19INCH thanks again loving this bluray yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh

Need more specifics than that. Also you sound like you're on a budget so either you can upgrade or stick to what you have right now.
