Most users ever online, reason? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know or remember what it was that brought almost 16,000 people to be online here at once on 11-13-07? That was right before I got into Blu so I wasn't on here then. Was just curious.

I believe there was a big Amazon BOGO that got linked in the deals forum. That drove a lot of traffic.

It's to do with the format war. Somebody that's been around longer could explain the story better then me since I wasn't around then either.

Walmart offered a $100 giftcard last Christmas when you bought a PS3..... it even brought people from CAG....it was insane...
