Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th?

This is typical, I really liked the Standard UK edition and then Zavvi goes and do this...

I haven't seen this yet but the only Wheatley film I've liked is Kill List. Too bad he hasn't had one as critically-acclaimed as that one.

Reminds me of the 10 Cloverfield Lane artwork, which I didn't like at all.
I do have this BD in my Netflix rental queue, maybe after watching it might grow on me.

I thought the same thing. And I didn't care much for that steelbook either, even though I did like the movie. I'll try to hold out on this until it gets sub $20.

I wonder which other European retailer took on the other half of the print run? No doubt time will tell.

Also it looks as though the word 'Very' equates to an extra ten pounds.

Not feeling this. Too much like a Saul Bass Vertigo piece...think I might go for the amaray and hope it gets a nice Studio Canal slip.

Ahh, I was worried that I would have to buy the Amaray release and a SteelBook, but it looks like it will just be the Amaray.

If all Steelbooks were as "ugly" as this one, my wallet would be constantly empty.

I have never seen the movie, I am considering a purchase just for the look of it...

I quite like the artwork, unfortunately over £20 is just out of the budget for a single film, & especially one that I haven't seen yet. I have the amaray locked in for £13.49, will just stick with that on this occasion.

The art is by a British artist named Chris Thornley, who also goes by Raid71. He's done a bunch of really great stuff. Worth looking him up online to have a look at his work. This steelbook design isn't my absolute favorite by him (mainly because I've never even heard of the movie), but I like it. He'll be an interesting choice for steelbook art if he gets more opportunities to give it a try.

No wonder I like it so much, Raid71 makes some of my favorite superhero artwork. His spidey stuff is brilliant. I think this looks a lot better than the Cloverfield one that some are comparing it too. It has more variance, and the colors pop more. With some metallic paint, especially on the pink parts, this could look amazing in person.

I also recently posted another beautifully vibrant one by him in the Ghibli thread
