So it's close to 30 °C here (86 °F) and summer is finally pushing through for the last week or so. As a result my movie watching has gone down significantly. I spend a lot more time outside but even when it has cooled down in the evening I just don't care to watch a movie.
To make it an even bigger hurdle to do so, my projection setup tends to run rather hot and rob my living room of the well preserved cool. ![]() So anyone else having a dip in their viewing routine during these hot days? |

Backwards for me, I'm staying the **** inside my house. Tell me when it is fall and I'll come out of hiding. Screw the heat... more screw the damn humidity. Turn the air condition up and make the house feel like winter whoop!

I've been watching more TV/Anime shows lately while only playing video games when my friend asks me to join him on Overwatch.

I usually play the Max Payne games over the summer and also recently replayed Arkham City after all these years. Also bought the Mass Effect games again (the first two anyway) and have been indulging in those heavily.

Definitely. I've moved into renting TV shows on disc that I've heard good things about in the past few years, because I can only manage 40-50 mins chunks of sitting down to watch something before going to bed, as opposed to 2 hrs + of film viewing. Plus, my equipment is in a room where the sun hits it during the day and evening, and closed curtains and ceiling fans don't make any difference in lowering the temperature.
But the sun is great during the day, and it's great to get a sweat on when exercising. |

Man, here in Austin it's been around 100 plus consistently. With the AC going and my black-out curtains, it's been a pleasure to go through a pile of Blu-rays this summer.

Florida , in the summer, with high 90's for temp.....
....people would die... ![]() We have been watching more movies this summer at night, since we have had a string of high 90's (for almost a full month) and high humidity too. Although Omaha is not Florida... ![]() |

I tend not to watch movies during the day time to begin with, so me going outside in the summer doesn't affect that. It's hot here, but low humidity, so I don't mind being outside. Better yet, I head up the mountain and take a dip in the river. The outdoors are too beautiful not to enjoy. All y'all need to move out to the West.

Nope not even Pokemon could pull off that feat. I have been playing Pokemon yellow as of late, but I can do that on my chilled living room.
I do think it is pretty cool though how Pokémon go has gotten so many people out and interacting with each other. |
