Need a blu ray player that's good quality, minus streaming or confusing menus.

I need to get my mom a blu ray player that's good quality and good up conversion for dvds but she doesn't need anything with a lot of menus or streaming options as she has a firestik. I just don't want something confusing to her, she hates stuff that has toops many options hehe.

She has a basic dvd player now but I have blu rays she wants to borrow.

I too need a non-streaming bluray player. This is for our camp where we have satellite internet with a low cap and don't want to stream (and don't want the kids to forget and start streaming Netflix to eat up all the bandwidth in 2 hours). I picked this up at Walmart this AM.

Sanyo Blu-ray Disc Player (FWBP505F) - it was approximately $50. I noticed online Walmart has a refurb version for $33.

It has no streaming services and does play bluray/dvd. One item you may not like for your mom is the remote is one of those mini-remotes with small buttons. If this is an issue you can always get a larger universal remote.

Since I think Sony makes the best nonpremium blu-ray players, I would suggest their cheapest model. The current one would be the BDP-S1700. Its list price is $69.99.
