This obscure title, considered lost, is going to be released by Forgotten Film Entertainment on blu-ray with two different cuts on august 29. In a nutshell: A successful crowdfunding campaign was held at the beginning of the year to get the german theatrical version scanned because all known prints suffer from a late stage of vinegar syndrome.
The german version was heavily altered, recut and additonal footage was inserted. The original version was considered lost and has not surfaced anywhere after 1961. In the course of the project, the original english sound-neg could be located plus the cut footage from the neg was rediscovered. So a reconstructed original english language version is included as well the recut german version (with optional english subtitles) plus a load of supplements.
