In the finished basement of the home that we moved into last year there is a plate for speaker wires and then in a box format around it has red (right front/rear) and white (left front and rear) RCA plates on the walls towards the ceiling. Besides the plates there are no mounts for speakers. I have an older Pioneer surround system that runs entirely with speaker wire connections. If the in wall system works I can plug the receiver into the wall with the speaker wire, but is there suggestions for the satellite speakers? I can provide pics if needed.

RCA jacks aren't used for speaker connections on most gear, you'd be better off swapping to speaker terminals - less hassle overall. Quote:
