Default Future Shop

I am so fed up with futureshop. They have screwed me one to many times. I ordered three blu rays online two saturday's ago and haven't yet received any of them. 2 of them wern't released until last tuesday but still nothing.

I got an e-mail saying that the hulk on blu ray had been delayed and it would ship on the 24th. (today) now I check my order and it says that it is out of stock. This is the third time this has happened to me when buying a new release online from them. I will will pre-order it than it says it is out of stock. Funny thing is, the first two times I went to the store and the movies were sitting on the shelf.

So I wanted to see if the hulk was in the store before I cancelled it on my order and it's not even in the store yet.

The only reason I ordered from them was because I had to use up a gift card. Anyways I just need to vent thanks for listening guys.

yeah but i have to cancel my order online first and the store is a half hour from me. So now I'm going to cancel it and drive in tomorrow to get it. That is if they have it yet.

FutureShop online orders aren't filled by the nearest retail location. They are filled from a single warehouse in Toronto I believe. So, that's why they could have them in store and be out of stock online.

I can't speak for all other Future Shop stores but I live in Vancouver & the branches they have in either Robson or Broadway have one of the worst Bluray inventories ever...not to mention one of the poorest customer service I've either experienced or heard.

The Incredible Hulk BD was not available in both these branches as of today Oct 24. I went to the Broadway one this morning to check and I overheard one other customer asking someone who works there whether this title is available. Instead of helping out the customer, this idiot who works there tells him to check with the gaming department because they are closest to the backroom where the inventories are. This is only one of the many times I've seen where service is absolutely neglected since the customer isn't making a big money purchase like a big screen tv.

Both branches also do not have any of the individual James Bond bluray's...only a couple of the 007 BD sets.

I'd rather spend my money on HMV where they actually not only have the Hulk, or the James Bond BDs...but their prices are actually lower.

BTW...the BDs of the Hulk in HMV had the 3D slipcovers.

I went to the Clairview and North Future Shop locations in Edmonton and they had the new Hulk in stock. No 3D slipcover, but the HMV copies have them. Don't care for those personally, I usually throw them out after buying them.

YEp, that's the reason why it got delayed, so firstly, those ppl who packed the discs are CRAZY!!!

secondly, everyone please rush to ur nearby BestBuy, as they have plenty of the Hulk BluRay with the 3D cover, and also you could ask them to honor u the price at CAN$19.99 due to the dealy as I did today. and that would be a steal, dont ya think?

p.s. wonderin if anyone know that FS is goin to get a steel bookcase or just the 3D one like BB. thanks!

I'll agree that in many FS and indeed BB locations many of the staff don't have a clue about customer service and worse of all perhaps, they only have limited knowledge of the products within their departments.

However, the FS near my work has been fantastic. I spent about $2,500 at their Grand Opening (PS3, Toshiba Laptop, BD's, Games, computer peripherals) and it's one of the few locations (in my opinion) whereby a lot of the staff actually does have good product knowledge. Their customer service has also been very good. It is of course, the only location I ever go to now.

Nothing wrong with bashing B&M locations when they deserve it, but lets also not forget there are good locations out there as well. And, NO, I am NOT a FS or BB employee or a particular fanboy either. Just wanted to bring some levity to the thread.

yes indeed, and I just watched it last nite, oh well, it was a OK movie IMO, IronMan and BatMan still r the two best "superhero" movies ever, yet the funny thing is neither two is really a "super" hero. haha

FutureShop (prolly Best Buy too since they are the same company) has the worst customer service.

I believe FutureShop has gotten fat since they are the only real huge electronics store in Canada, we need someone else to step up and steal some market share from them!

Canadian law, all packaging must be bilingual regardless of province.
