I will pre-order it when it goes up on BestBuy.com, where I pre-ordered the other two. I hope it happens soon!

I didn't realize that. I haven't checked up on that for quite a long time. And don't worry, I'm not offended. I appreciate you letting me know.

The story keeps changing. Paramount has TV rights, but supposedly some other studio has home video rights. There were rumors that it was now with the producer, but Cliff and Jeff from Scream Factory shot down that theory.

I hope the guy that's running the Vestron Facebook page will ask his contact for definite word whether Lionsgate has it or not.

Anything Lionsgate has in their horror catalog is up for grabs for this line.

I'd say NEAR DARK would be a perfect fit for this line and a great opportunity for LG to finally give the film a much-needed overhaul. And if anything is truly up for grabs then I'd really love to see SUPERSTITION. Witch movies are popular right now so it'll be a nice tie-in.

A re-release of Near Dark has been suggested.. Fright Night II is not with Lionsgate. They do have the Cube movies, The Manitou and Little Monsters if anyone wants to request them

And dont forget they have Hammer titles (since they have a working relationship with Studio Canal)

They might even have Metamorphosis the Alien factor as well

Do what I did and pay $6 or $7 for each of the two Horror Collection multi-film Lionsgate DVD sets and see if you dig the 1:33 versions enough to spend the cash on the BDs.

Cheap, supports Lionsgate without committing to a $30 price tag, and gives you a lot of films to watch -- many (Waxwork, Chopping Mall, Blood Diner, and CHUD 2) coming soon, and others that probably will be coming soon to the Vestron BD line...

If you're a fan of 80s-type horror, it's one of the best.

I agree the first one is great, but the second is pretty bad.... I couldn't finish it when I tried to watch it a few weeks ago.

I've tried to hold off even suggesting more of the modern films as Lionsgate has such a substantial list of older stuff I'd rather see first that I didn't want to give them any ideas. I feel like once the line creeps into the 90's and 2000's a lot of the initial support and excitement may start to die down. I'd love for stuff like The Wishmaster collection, Cube Collection, May, and Dee Sniders Strangeland see release, but not at the expense of Warlock, Warlock Armageddon, 976-Evil II, Slaughter High, The Unholy, The Unnamable, Raw Head Rex, etc.

May is at the top of my list -- it's in my top 10 films of all time.

It's been confirmed on their Facebook page that this will be a 2 disc Blu-ray set and completely in HD with no SD scenes cut in.

Well in that case, couldn't you just buy it for the first movie, ignore the second and call it good? You wouldn't be any worse off than buying Chopping Mall or Blood Diner that way.

Now listed at Barnes & Noble as "Waxworks 1 & 2," but $26.64 like the others.

There is more than one, so they may be using the plural.

I do not like the sequel, but I do like the original. I think I own the sequel on DVD along with 7 other horror movies. One of those 8 movie packs.
