But you haven't seen AOD so it is hard to comment on how different they are. To me horror comedy is horror comedy. I don't have different degrees of horror comedy. Tucker and Dale, Cabin In The Woods, AOD, Shaun Of The Dead, Feast are all in the exact same category for me. It's silly to have sub categories of sub categories imo.

I have seen clips here and there and it seems like a silly comedy with horror parody. Its more comparable to Zombieland which is a comedy/horror zombie parody. I know horror/comedy is a sub genre but I dont put them all in the same boat. Some focus mainly on comedy while others focus more on horror with comedy elements. Big difference to me. Got Em!!

You've said parody about AOD, but it isn't a parody. It isn't playing off anything to be a parody.

You should give it a shot one day. It's still Zack Snyder's best film, but that's probably thanks to a great script by James Gunn. Obviously not classic status like the original, but still really entertaining.

I like it better than the original. The original film didnt date well for me. Loved it as a kid though. Got Em!!

They're both on an equal level to me. I agree that the original is dated, and I often forget about how silly it can be. While the remake has more gravitas, I never liked the characters (all of Snyder's films seem to have some pretty hateful jerks in them). Regardless, they're both essential zombie films.

Cool.

I personally consider this sci-fi, but it is a thriller along similar lines to one of many Body Snatchers movies. It's definitely an atmospheric and bizarre thriller, and I do love the film a lot.

24. Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - 107 Points - Highest Place - 2nd - Nominated 7 times

Cool! Was pretty high on my list, I always enjoyed and admired this adaptation of Dracula.

Saw it once, pretty unique scares and visuals. Was not a fan though.

What I wouldn't give to be able to watch The Others for the first time again...

Same with Saw for that matter, unfortunately my first viewing of that was on a camcorder copy from a movie theater when I was a broke college student.

Damn way too low for Trick R Treat imo. It has become a Halloween staple for me. Saw is very "just ok" to me. I've never seen the Others before. And ITMOM is great.
