"dies of fangasm" George, your fans beg you, please put the mighty Star Wars on Blu-Ray (preferably, the 77, 80, 83 versions, but that's a separate issue right now).

Well, I'd have to say that whatever HD cable this came from is severely lacking in HD quality. Maybe its just the capture?

Well, considering mine is simply me holding a camera up to my TV during playback of Ep. II upconverted...I have better ones on my flash drive, wherever the heck it is - including really good shots of the original trilogy, which I will upload onto this thread later if it has not been merged/locked/deleted.

They are mainly just upscales, not new encodes.
When released on blu they will be remastered and re-encoded.

I still think it's a year or 2 from being released on blu. I wonder if they will release the 6 films together.

Seriously? I can't take a decent shot of anything playing on my set to save my life. Do you use a tripod? Special camera settings?

A lot of grain in the 1st one. Keep in mind that whenever good 'ol georgie puts the trilogy onto blu, he'll have new transfers. Newly restored etc. Even ep1(ya...we all love that one!)it's nearing 10 years old. So I'm sure that will get a new turnover.

I really want Indiana Jones! They released all 4 in a dvd set but no blu...blah

Yes, it is. And, my camera's about 5 years old, actually, just on regular settings. But what I recently discovered the trick is - yes, use a tripod. I mean, look at this unrelated picture I took of my TV from my camera on a tripod:

Very nice!

Here is a photo I took. The picture is flawless on my set, but you can see all of those "distortion lines" in the photo. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry to thread-jack! Back OT.
