I wasn't crazy about this movie ... at all - but I'd very curious to hear the Atmos mix (if it's included)

I unfortunately read the Time Out New York review which basically ripped it a new a$$h0le and called it one of the most juvenile movie they ever witnessed - like ouch - I think I was swayed by the reviewer's opinion

I'd settle for better artwork on their covers, as well as more special features. What's the deal with Lionsgate skimping on the features? I've searched for a "Special Features" thread, but haven't been able to uncover one yet.

I don't understand? The critic gives Swiss Army Man, a movie about a man and a talking corpse learning life lessons from each other one star, while he gives Sausage Party, which features "Adolf Hitler" being butt raped by "The Juice", three stars. I don't get it. |

About the special features :
The Q&A is 67 min long The making of is quite nice though a bit generic (17 min) 5 deleted scenes. Nothing really to remember, except maybe the one which extends the discussion between Manny and Hank about fetishes A very short featurette (3 min) about the creating of a dummy Manny Audio commentary Music-less track with an audio intro by the filmmakers over the opening credits. They basically explained that they created this music-less track because, when working on the sound design of the movie, they realised how stupid the movie would be without the music and thus decided to provide this funny experience to viewers. It thus means experiencing the movie with actors randomly starting to sing the OST and an end sequnce with actors weirdly looking at each others and then at a farting corpse. I didn't watch the full movie like this but it is indeed quite weird. Sadly, it's only in DD 5.1 640 kbps. The PQ is stellar. The AQ is very good too (but I only have a 5.1 HT so can't say anything specific about the Atmos part of the mix). The music really takes advantage of the track by expanding a lot. |
