Default Nurse Jill (2016) - Massacre Video - October 11, 2016

Very cool new indie flick coming from Massacre Video. If you like grindhouse style films or the films that were released by Something Weird Video back in the day you will love this. It even has bonus features.

Isn't this the same company that was supposed to release Hack-O-Lantern? I'd much rather have that than some film from 2016.

No clue on Hack-O-Lantern although that would be cool. They are branching out and trying some newer indie stuff. This film may have been finished in 2016 but it feels like it was made in the late 70's early 80's. It has a very cult vibe to it. Shot in 16mm. Good stuff.

Sounds cool, maybe I'll check it out then

It was shot in 16mm by a guy named Joe Rubin who works for Vinegar Syndrome and it was directed, edited, scored, what have you by a guy named Peter Lambert who has been making indie films for quite a while. This is the first of his films to be officially distributed. Definitely worth it if you are into the t kind of stuff I mentioned above. The closest thing I can compare it to is a film called The Centerfold Girls but it's also has a vibe all it's own.

I like the footage and vibe in that trailer, very retro. That said, and maybe I'm wrong (huge possible spoiler - click at your own risk),
[Show spoiler]but as soon as they show "Nurse Jill", it immediately looks like a man in drag to me. Hope that's not the only thing going on in the film. Gender switch twists (where an actor plays the other gender) rarely work for me, as it always is so obvious. Even with The Crying Game, I knew immediately.

Still, the use of 16mm, the music, and look of it definitely pique my interest, and I rarely even bother with any current indy horror or exploitation films. I may check this one out.

Not a spoiler at all. Heather Marie Vernon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2774714/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t30) plays the lead character Nurse Jill. There is no gender switch twist. Just thought I'd clear that up. Honestly the trailer and ad campaign for the film don't even come close to spoiling anything. This is a very unique and crazy film.

This looks like it was shot by your drunk uncle who then paid drug addicts to do the editing by adding excessive amounts of superimposition. Also, too much live nude cock for me. No dialogue, thank god. It's like a silent film with text frames added. It could've done been good but it weren't because these people don't know what they're doing.

However, I would probably buy the soundtrack on vinyl but... see the last 7 words of the last sentence in the last paragraph.
