Default The Verve get back together - new album coming!!

The Verve
Return 2007

I saw The Verve in 1995 and in 1998. Both times it was mesmerizing and unfogettable.
So far it's just a tour in the UK for November, but the fact that Nick McCabe is back with them too, the original four, is very, very freaking exciting! One of the best bands ever to see live.

The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury were back recording together in a London studio last week.

After a summer break, they will return to the studio to complete their next album. The Verve will also return to the live arena in November, playing 6 shows in the UK.
Yes, yes, yes. New Verve music and another chance to see them live. I said at New Years Eve 2005 that I predicted The Verve would get back together before the end of the decade. I am so glad I was right.

I love bittersweet symphony. but the rest that i've heard I just couldn't get into. I just hope they can keep from sampling other people's music. its sad that they didn't make anything off such an amazing song.

Keep from sampling other people's music? One song out of their repertoire of 100 songs!

They're an amazing live act.

it was not meant as a malign, more an injustice. that 1 song, which was amazing, was a lot better than the song that it inadvertently sampled. unfortunately, their reputation was tarnished and their money was taken because of that song. I simply hope some equally f&$ked up thing doesn't happen again.

Excellent news, I love The Verve. Lucky Man was my fave, hopefully the new material is as good.

Just hope they've got someone decent at the mastering desk this time.

So they're only playing four venues in North America for now, Coachella - LA, then Vegas, then two nights in New York, then TORONTO!!

I just scored four floor tickets to the Toronto show!

The new tunes I saw on Thursday night, 15ft from the stage, were awesome.

I saw the band in 1995 and 1998 but they were friggin' on and better than ever before.

When they do a full North American tour later this year, be sure to try and catch them. This is a band that belongs on stage. Every song is MILES better than it is on the albums.
