I guess I just thought it was a little strange seeing as I picked it up in store. The website promo indicates that it'll be sent out within 7 days of the "online purchase"

WTF, the 3D version has not a single extra, but it is more expensive? I wish I'd checked this thread prior.

Someone at the JB counter was asking this last night too, checkout chick had no idea so I told him. Seems to be a common disappointment.

I just watched all the extra's and they are very well put together. It starts out giving you a lot of in depth info on all the Justice League characters with actor interviews etc. Lots of stuff on the history of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman etc. How they built the Bat Cave and Bat Mobile and so much more.

Really cool stuff and great for people who aren't familiar with the universe or some of the characters.

I think some of the extra's have been uploaded to YouTube for those who can't watch them...

Well we missed out on the PiP track (Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel (HD, 174 minutes)) on the Man of Steel release too remember, so it doesn't surprise me to hear the 3D release has no extra features.

yeah - mentioned that the other day / earlier post - that was an extra disc that could have easily been added to our set - 'obviously Zack Synder doesn't like us Aussies !!!

Now... what's Zack's email / twitter / facebook accounts ????

Meh.. just read the review of the special features ..

Various 7 minute clips, and a 22 minute feature on the Batmobile. I don't know how many times I have to say it, but god damn I miss the days when you would get an Hour+ docco on the Making of films.

I don't even bother watching clips that short, once you take out the clip of the film usually featured in it, and the title card, you're lucky to get 3 minutes of actual behind the scenes footage or one decent sound bite from a cast or crew member.

One of the reason I love LOTR Appendices, they're really lax on Special Features nowadays.

I predict that Warner Bros will eventually release the same discs in a Justice League Trilogy boxset, and include more complete exclusive bonus materials on a new bonus disc that you can only get by buying the boxset with the same discs. Hopefully, without the EPK promo stuff that you currently get in the bonus extras.

The supplements on BvS are just average filler which is a shame, I would have liked to see the nitty gritty on the production of this. The days of complex special editions are past now. Releases to the standard of LOTR or Blade Runner etc are now the exception rather than the norm. Studios are focused on digital releases and their minimal cost v maximum return rather than costly physical releases which is a real shame for us fans who love physical media. Look at the roll out of UHDBD, limp to say the least.

As in, like they did with the Nolan Batman trilogy. I really want the big documentary included in that set, but can't bring myself to buy the three movies all over again.

just a quick (sarcastic) update ....

I emailed Roadshow a few weeks back about the 3D release (and why it was missing the extras disc)....

nothing.. no answer...

then I re-sent the email... got a response from someone (but no answer) - was advised that it was going to be sent to someone else !

SO.. still NO ANSWER.

Gee..... even the UK 3D version GOT the extras ... so why did Australia / NZ miss out ???

answered.. or not ???

I am following up with regards to your emails regarding your concerns about the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on 3D Blu-ray.

Firstly, let me thank you for taking the time to advise us of your experience and I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the release.

In releasing an 3D Ultimate Edition we did want to ensure that both the 3D Feature Film and 2D Ultimate Edition version of the film were made available. I have passed on your feedback around the disappointment of the lack of bonus content that was included on the release. However, as it was noted on the back of the cover that this version of the release did not include any bonus content I am unable to offer any further solution.

So.. thanks (/s) Roadshow .. for NOTHING ....... and missing a disc that the US and UK got.
