As per title really.
Eco cases. Really annoying, occasionally resulting in some creases and minor damage to the sleeves. The way imports (usually US/Canada) have the worst type of shrinkwrapping process possible where the wrap is literally stuck to the spine. Ugh. Universal's menu screens. Unskippable start-up trailers. and a bonus for cinemas as it is annoying me - why Carlisle Vue cinema seems to put initial screenings in the two tiny screens every freaking week. |

Ludicrously small menu text. Fine if you've got a 100" TV. Not so good for the rest of us.
& Disney's brief experiment of putting silly little symbols instead of text in their menus. Even the extras on Into The Woods only have meaningless pictures instead of titles. It's a lucky dip as to what you're going to be watching... ![]() |

After all the publicity regarding increased disc capacity over DVD, most Blu rays have no more extra content than the DVD equivalent.
It may be fact, but if it's not utilised it's irrelevant to a degree. |

Universal screensaver. What? You have to press up on your remote to remove it? Ah... okay... how the hell did people find that out?
The adhesive snots on steelbook J cards. Lack of pop-up menus. Lack of resume play. Stupidly low limited edition print runs. |

Like many, forced trailers, no resume, pointless legal disclaimers; but I think Universal's awful menus really take the biscuit. Especially the ones with annoying, loud clicking.
Regarding no resume, at least Universal have a bookmark feature, but its use is so amazingly well hidden/obscure I'm amazed anyone could find it! |

Along with all the stuff you guys mentioned, my biggest peeve is the case design themselves. I think I would have preferred something different and not as tall (they only really need to be a bit taller than a BD).
I would have loved something the size of a Nintendo Ds case, more uniformity and something to indicate genre on the spine. |

And this on the spine mostly indicates genre in my collection. ![]() ![]() |
