Exclamation Legitimacy?!

can we have people posting rumors have put a source, link, or anything that will make their statement more legitimate...

I really like this forum, I can get a lots of info on bluray news and new releases, but some of the threads posted here are just "lame"

this forum IMO needs to get a bit more "mature", it needs some good discussion, maybe a bit more moderating would help

I really would like to see less of the HDDVD hatred and more of a focus on Bluray......I just don't care about HDDVD, I DO NOT CARE...whatever they do...let them have it, just please stop the bashing which in my opinion is overboard...and its childish...

hey I had to get this out, it bothered me for few days

We have great moderators. And when there is a news story posted that doesn't contain a link, most people will post a "Link Please" post. It's even in our forum rules to do that.

Are you kidding buddy. This is all out war! They wanna rape our women and burn down our property!!

Ok... i've done my share of the 'bash fest'. I own a Toshiba LCD panel and I love it! I really don't care what the other side does. As long as EVERYTHING hits both formats that's fine. But in reality that can't last...and consumers will get confused...and both formats die....and we all lose...

So I say topple the dirty b@st@rds!!!

C'mon Dwight...This aint the Scranton Branch...

Welcome buddy and, yes I feel the same, especially the PS3 Price drop. I am a bit upset about this trickery of a deal.

But honestly this forum is good and the mods do a good job. There are definatelty more worse Forums out there that are just Chaotic!

Go to see another savvy and caring blu ray member.

Keep it up! Go Blu Ray!!!!

There should definitely be sources posted with things we haven't heard before. If there isn't then ignore the post or say you want to see a reference.
Look at the source itself. If a blog, then it's practically worthless. A marketing company with a poll is just as bad and biased.

Many are biased against HD-DVD and will let you know it; I know I am. Find out how biased when they are posting. Is it info that is credible? If yes, the person posting has more credibility. If you don't like how someone posts you can use the ignore feature. I've used it before. Why make a mod do what you yourself can do?

You can also help by posting mature threads. You will attract members who are like yourself and then can add them to your friends list.

I agree with everything thats been said, I'd also like to bring up the issue of forum organization. I know that the majority of people here primarily are concerned with the movies and entertainment side of Blu-ray, and it seems that the majority of the threads concerning these issues aren't kept within the appropriate categories. Not to be TOO nit-picky, but for those of us who have more of an interest in the IT side of things it'd be nice to not to have to sift through 50 posts about casino royale or how a movie won't play right, under the Media category. I feel like the organization is already in place, I'd just like to see it followed.
Sorry for being crabby about this, since this seems to be the "appropriate" thread for it I couldn't help myself
