Default Michael Myers Collection

With only the original and the current remake available on Blu I was wondering if anybody has any news on possibly releasing the entire collection onto blu, or at the very least possibly Halloween II. I am a die hard Halloween fan, but my standard editions just don't cut, someone please help me out!

I don't think all the movies were released by the same studio so I don't know if they could make a collection out of it.

I provided some more detailed information in reference of who owns the rights for each release. I am also a huge Halloween fan (except for the Rob Zombie version) and would love to have the entire collection on blu. The only complete set that I know of being released was in the UK. They had a "Halloween: The Complete Collection (8 disc)" DVD set released back in 2004. To bad it is not blu and is Region 2.

Hope this helped.

A box set of all films won't happen because different studios own the rights to the films.

The original was the best, and thanks for repeating exactly what was said above.

I'm still waiting for them to release Halloween 6 The Curse of Michael Myers Directors Cut. You can find it on ebay and it has 45 minutes of unreleased footage. It's a completely different movie than the original. Goes more into detail of what Thorn is, Michael's escape from the jail, etc

I don't recall anyone soliciting opinions of the films, but thanks anyway.

Yea, I think pretty much everyone thinks the original is the best. Unless they haven't seen it. No need to state the obvious.

I hope that at one point Anchor Bay releases the Extended Edition on Blu-ray. It would be great to see those extra 12 minutes in High-Def.

Oh yeah I am completely aware that the films where done by different studios, I wasn't expecting a box set, I would be fine with individual releases as long as they included all the missing footage and extras that seem to be floating around there. And I've never heard of the Director's Cut for Halloween 6, 45 minutes extra!! TOTALLY!

I bought the producers cut of Halloween 6 off of Ebay several years ago, its almost an entirely different film, kinda nicely wraps up the story started in Halloween 4 and 5 and gave the potential for a nice followup had the studio decided not to go with the H20 and Halloween Busta Rhymes route

After I read your post I looked on ebay but can find nothing, was your copy expensive? I always love seeing a new version of an old film and learning new things. I read a different scene is Michael being forced to impregnate Jamie in a flashback. Please tell me this is the adult Jamie and not the little girl! I loved the documentary on the Blu version of Halloween that was just as long as the film. Though they briefly showed two scenes which where filmed during Halloween II so the first film would be long enough for tv but outside of the documentary those are not available anywhere else to view them, and it didn't have all the new scenes either

I havent watched in some years, but it was the older Jamie of course that was impregnated, I think I paid about 20 bucks for it, it was a workprint version of the movie, so alot of the extra scenes added into the film were still either in b&w or had the time coding on them, I just bought the film cause I was curious about all the rumors I heard, kinda glad I did pick it up....keep looking, Halloween 6: Producer's Cut...its out there...I think there is a member in the trading forum who may I have one..
