I never liked the Batman cartoon. It was way too dark and characters like Scarecrow creeped me out too much.

Is there anywhere I can stream it and finally regain that lost piece of my childhood?

Amazon Prime's got it. Just checked.

But only that. :-( Justice League, Batman Beyond, even the Batman movies are not included with Prime. Not a total loss if you want to watch that, though.

Justice League (and Unlimited), The Batman, Batman (1989), Young Justice, and a few DC animated features are on Netflix

Thanks. I have Prime.

Beyond was on Netflix for a bit. I wonder why it was removed? Justice League Unlimited is on there though.

Yeah, someone verified many of the others are on Netflix.

Unless I've missed a major release, I don't think BTAS has been released on blu-ray as of yet. Still only DVD.

I think he means the episodes sprinkled throughout the DC animated movie discs, as extras.

There are no Blu-Rays for the series. And as far as I can tell, there are no individual episodes listed as extras on DC animated movies. I tried to check via Google and no dice.

There are, for instance The Killing Joke contains "Old Wounds" and "Christmas with the Joker".

Don't know about all the others, but many DC animated releases (particularly Batman ones as they like the bonus episodes to tie-in in some way to the main film) have an episode or two, though I think those are still in SD.

iTunes bundle for complete series is $49.99, if I did not already own all of the dvds , and vol3 on Vudu id bight.

But I really do wish I could watch those bonus features, shame.

Amazon has the wrong intro, which completely ruins it for me. I played the first episode from the first season and the intro for "The New Batman/Superman Adventures" played before the episode started.

I purchased the BATS Complete Series on iTunes a few days ago, and they had the wrong intro as well. I checked a few episodes and the error seems to be just with the first episode of the first season.

A proper restoration of the series would be similar to CBS' work on Star Trek: The Next Generation. In short, they'd have to find all of the elements, re-scan the line art in HD, clean every frame, re-color the whole thing, and possibly re-record some dialogue (depending on how the originals were preserved). Even with Batman being DC's most popular character, I doubt WB would spend that kind of money or time on the show.

How are the end credits in episode 2 on iTunes? On Amazon they are sped up, causing jumpy video and terrible audio.

Considering WB wouldn't spend any extra money to give Peter Jackson the proper UCE of Lord of the Rings that he wanted, it will be a cold day on the sun before WB shells out any money for Batman: The Animated Series.

This is why I bought the DVD collection of it. Now, supposedly the one I got is either a high quality bootleg or it is legit (and the company who makes it cheapened out on some of the materials). But every episode is in its proper order, DVD full screen quality. Everything sounds right to me and not sped up.

From what I hear, no streaming service has yet to get the content right. Even Amazon had aired stuff in the wrong order.

Why would they be sped up if a bootleg if the pirate sets are DVD9s then they will be 1:1 copies of the original discs so identical content and quality wise.
