blu ray burning software and drives

hello there i am danny i am 19 years old and i am quite new to the blu ray thing. i have a few blu ray movies that i watch on my ps3, what i want to know is what do i need to be looking for when i am goin to buy a blu ray drive for my pc to burn and make blu ray films etc and what software i will need to do this? do i ge the software with the drive?

I am adam. Nice choice on Blu-Ray and PS3 . to start with, make sure the Blu-Ray drive is compatible with your computer- check with the manufactuer. Not to mention your graphics card and montior can support High Definition Content. Then research software. This is purchased seprate. Easy Media Creator 9 from Roxio, Sony's Vegas Suite, Adobie's Premier Suite. Those are all good programs but can be expensive. There are different levels. They range from joe amature to I wanna be the next Steven Spielburg. Read about each program and their variants to see if it suits your needs. This is a lot of money you are slining around, make an informed desicion. In my case Final Cut does everything except I want as I am a mac owner (still waitng for blu-ray capability).
