Default System Set-up Secrets!

Thought I'd pass along this 21-page excerpt for those who may be interested in this kind of thing. He discusses multi-channel as well, but it was geared for 2-channel audio.

I think it's an informative read for those just getting into the hobby.

john, thank you for the reading material. quite interesting, and definitely a great sumnation of material placed into one pdf file.

the only thing i kinda noticed is that it 'might' be a bit intermediate for some readers, and er... how do i put it. some people like to be spoonfed, and disregard the technical aspects of the HT building process. i also dislike the fact that you have to end up 'drawing a picture' for em at times, and it seems unfair that others want the 'shortcut' method.

again, great read, and hopefully, entice people to learn more about it.

I thought the same thing, but then audio has been a hobby for me for over 30 years. But there are a lot of people just now getting into it because of Blu-ray and they want the whole HT experience. I think the article represents a good starting point for learning and getting to the point of doing it right.
