United Kingdom Poldark (2015 Series)

One of precious few UK TV Blu-ray releases from ITV DVD is the new Poldark (2015-). The first series was just snuck out this month (over a year after the DVD...) and the second series and box set will be out concurrently on 7 November 2016.

Does anybody watch this? I'm almost certain to order the box to support UK TV on Blu-ray, but I've yet to watch any. How is it?

I've got the US Blu-Ray of series 1. I thought series 1 was pretty good, good story, good performances, good location work, an expensive production and looks great on Blu. There is a review of the Blu-Ray on bluray.com and it's worth reading that for a second opinion as the reviewer didnt like it.

Thumbs up Poldark S2 looking fwd. to watching on DVR

We definitely enjoyed the 1st season of Poldark(we also have S1 on BD) & we're looking forward to watching S2 as we have it on our DVR schedule.

We love this period-piece along with the exquisite locations!

Also for Poldark fans, I can recommend the book "The World Of Poldark". Basically a "making of" book for series 1, but also has lots of historical background and a great selection of colour stills.

Thanks Simon Lewis, "The World Of Poldark" looks like my 'cup of tea'!

Poldark's Cornwall looks like a great companion piece, except the price £16.59(I'll wait till it gets to the "The World Of Poldark" or lower preferably)price!!

If any one has a UK of Poldark series 2, I'd appreciate knowing exactly how many discs there are.

According to Amazon-UK it is two, yet series two is two hours longer but one disc less, really Amazon!

I haven't actually had chance yet to take a look at the Blu-ray review copy that turned up last week, but I was definitely sent three discs (labelled as 'Episodes 1-4', 'Episodes 5-8' and 'Episodes 9-10').

Ask me if you need better detail, Youtube have some very good Qs & As with Aiden Turner that are proper

**The Beek** when time allows, I'd be interested to read your thoughts on poldark (Aden Turner) series two. So far the one review pretty much calls it a VHS tape

eracer001 not a chance, I've just tried a disc from the final season, says region B only. Which player do you have, a region mod from 220-electronics for example may be an option

eracer001 you decide by all means, have a look, if they sell your player multi region see how much they would want to mod your own player. Failing that they have a sale on so a completely new m-r player is not that expensive. Truthfully, I've never owned a single region DVD/ Blu-ray player.
