Default want to buy tv in canada

Hi ,my friend is looking to buy a tv in the 46-50inch range, he has a 2500$ buget.
i told him to check out the panasonic plasma.
but what model would u guys recommend and why

You've given him good advice.

With that budget he should be able to pick up the TH-50PZ85U from Future Shop.

They have it for $2499, which means you should no doubt be able to talk them down to between $1999 to $2299. Don't budge on your budget and they'll bring it down. Remember the first deal they offer you, won't be the last, unless of course they say OK right away at $1999.

Remember to not buy any extended warranties or cables. Use www.monoprice.com for HDMI cables - their Canadian shipping charges are excellent. The s&h may double the cost of your order, but when you're paying $3/cable instead of $80/cable you don't mind $8 shipping.

You might therefore also consider looking at Costco. They have a FULL 90 DAY RETURN policy, plus you get a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY. I know they sell Panasonic Plasmas (I bought mine there), but I'm not sure which models they have. It's worth a look....and don't forget, their pricing is almost always better than BB or FS.

Agreed - I know they've got a few of the 1080p models in there too so that's well worth checking out.
