Default Paypal Question/Help

Has anybody ever had trouble sending money through Paypal? I don't use it often but I just tried sending someone some money and it sent it as an eCheck. Which says is like a real check and will take a few days to clear. I want to send money instantly like it used to.

I just clicked on the send money tab and put in the person's e-mail address that is associated with their Paypal account. Anybody have any idea what I did wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind. Figured it out.

its because you didn't have a balance to cover the amount, so its using your checking as a backup.
There is no way to cancel it BTW

you are stuck w/ the e-check, but for next time make sure you have credit or debit card associated w/ the account. It should then, if you don't have enough of a balance, take the money from the card on the account. gl

I did have a credit card associated with the account. Its just that it expired. I wish it had a way of telling you that. So I guess it defaulted to eCheck payment method.

yea, or if its not a large amount you could resubmit payment and have the seller refund the echeck when it clears
