Those who have seen my layout can comment, because it does fit under my homemade rack, but may be better placed next to the fronts.

If it fits under your audio tower, i would put it there (where your current sub is).

Jesus, I told my wife I wanted to replace the speakers in a few years, and if I had that thing come out of the box, she would make me send it back... or use it as an autamin...

Ottoman?

I honestly didn't know it looked that enormous, and I've been recommending it left and right - I need to start thinking about people's room sizes and senses of aesthetics, as well...

Let her put a doiley on it.

I replaced an 8 inch Sony with it. I told my wife when I ordered it that it wasn't much bigger. Then it arrived....

"Wow honey, that is a lot bigger than I figured it would be!! My measurements must have been off."

She about had a heart attack, then she put a vase on it. Let's just say the sub stayed and the vase is gone....

Yeah my M-40's just arrived...

They're a bit bigger than I thought, too. She was kind of upset at first, then just kind of laughed it off. Now I'm going to have to make some speaker stands for them, or buy some that are big enough.

Jason, I know you have the 30's, but do you have any suggestions?

They are HUGE surrounds, I bet they are sweet though.

I bought something similar to this. It has been a couple of years though, so it isn't exact.

Yeah, I can hardly fit my Sony 12" sub in the area I have it in, we'll see one day maybe.... I want to get out of my Sony's to some B&W 600 series first...... but i'm a few years away, I was told after I get a new AVR and BDP I have to remodel the bathroom's and carpet the house.... but she did say I could save up....

They are ginormous... I'll say that much. I love them though. If you h ave a situation where towers just won't work, they're recommended. Might have been better off with the 30's but I'm definitely not lacking for power from the surrounds!

Do any stores in the US carry Polk Monitor 50's & the Polk CS1 Center speakers? I intend to pick these up soon (my Christmas present, ) and would rather not have to order online as shipping to Canada would kill me. Thanks.

I was just in a CC Warehouse outlet store out near Brown Deer and they have some Polk M-70's for $199 apiece, a lot of the CS1's (didn't see a price) and a lot of the Polk M-40's for $99 for the pair. Most of the 70's were open and even pretty banged up but there were a few sealed still. They also had some Polk M-50's but again I didn't see a price. The place was pretty poorly marked overall.

Overall those were the best deals I saw in the place- most of the other electronics weren't marked down enough to matter. I'm pretty sure it's one of the stores that are closing soon.
