But for those who don't own either or own one and not the other could find this to be a good deal. I bought The Dark Knight Returns graphic/movie combo because it was cheaper to buy at my local Target than buying TDKR graphic by itself, and it's a hardcover book!

Just got the graphic novel version. Which there was more in terms of Graphic Novel extras like the other ones

No. It follows the same path and incorporates some of Under The Red Hood with new animation but the whole movie is not included on the disc.

i own this and the first like 30 or 40 of the DC animated films

what would be the best way to collect them in bulk if you were ether starting from Scratch or simply wanted a better way of buying them rather than adding 4 discs to the shelf each year

Easiest starting point would be the 10th anniversary collection:

Includes everything from Superman: Doomsday to Batman & Harley Quinn. Wisely includes the Commerative editions of The New Frontier and Wonder Woman.

Does not include the Adam West animated films, Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusader and Batman Vs Two-face.

After that, its all been single releases. Besides the "complete" version of Death Of Superman and the upcoming complete version of the Long Halloween. Also 4K releases to account for.
