I just ordered Resurgence and the original Independence Day steelbooks for $30. When you order both, it takes $5 off of Resurgence to bring it down to $14.99. Anyone on the fence might want to get both of them for this price. I'm weak, I couldn't pass this up.

*argh* I knew that would happen...it seems to be happening quite a bit lately where if you buy the original the sequel gets 5 dollars off.

Anyways oops on the disc artwork as it might be considered a spoiler for those who did not see the movie. I disliked the ending of this movie.

I haven't seen the movie, yet. But, as the one who posted the pics above, the SteelBook isn't that special. It doesn't really stand out.

The special effects for the first movie in 1996 were ahead of it's time and holds up nicely even today. We have already had movies where cities get blown up and bigger than life space ships but honestly there was nothing FX wise that stood out as WOW that's amazing.

I will not own this unless it's $6.99 on BF. It was a really bad movie and a waste of my money in the theater. It was really, really, really bad. I'd only buy it at all to go with the first movie which I loved. Not sure what positive things can be said about this beyond that the 3D was very good.

Placed an order for both steelbooks. Unfortunately, the first film isn't available at the only store nearby, so I had to have that one shipped, but did do a store pick up order on Resurgence. Resurgence was reduced to $14.99, so hopefully the first film sb goes on sale within the next 45 days so I can get a price adjustment on that on down the road.

Picked up an iTunes Friday and watched that night before making my order. It was entertaining, even though they basically remake the first, but with new characters. Other than the ending scenario, the movie was fun. It's a good way to kill two hours when one is bored. Really wish

too bad they aren't offering both the steelbook for Blu-ray and the steelbook for 4K on this release. they do it for some, but not for all and I wonder why? perhaps it's a studio thing. not understanding why the studio would care, it's the same steelbook. I wish they would do that for all future steelbook releases, offer some in regular blu and some in UHD blu.

For Resurgence? Where? Most sites aren't even selling it yet except for the one I knew of. People on here will double the price on Tuesday due to it being a Fox single redemption code for iTunes OR Ultraviolet.

Because this is gonna be $19.99, I think I'm gonna end up getting this despite my feelings about the movie. Will sell the DVD and code to soften the blow. The pics just look too nice, and I'm hoping that I can enjoy the movie more on a rewatch.
