Honestly the original Ouija was a guilty pleasure of mine - one of those movies I can firmly say is a movie-by-committee mess of cliches and stolen elements, but which frankly still entertained me. So I've been looking forward to the new one since it was announced. The fact it's apparently actually good (92% on RT with 12 reviews!) is just a bonus.

Not even seen The Joneses advertised over here, yet it's playing everywhere near me. I suspect a flop, at least in the UK.

Yeah, I have no idea if the comedy will really work, and it certainly isn't an original concept. But I really like the entire main cast. I mean, Gadot, Hamm, Galifanikas, Fisher, Oswalt. I down with the cast -- just not sure if the film will actually end up working, sadly.

As I said, the whole thing looks like a rejected sequel to Date Night. And it spent some time on the shelf (it was supposed to open in April but apparently tested badly).

And it seems like there's a system going on in the Cohen family where Isla Fisher can only appear in one film a year and it either a. has to be worse than Sacha's movie or b. be in a lower-profile role than Sacha.

Like I said, it's a rental. The premise(even if unoriginal) was fine. There simply weren't enough laughs in it. And most of the few it had were shown in the trailer.

The only real highlight for me was seeing Patton Oswalt and Zach Galifianakis share the screen together since those guys remind me of each other(short, stocky, 47 year-old comedian/actors with similar voices).

I did when it was confirmed that Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Hush) would be directing, co-writing, and editing this film. Flanagan is defiantly a modern master of horror.

That's a shame, it's a very good sequel. Enjoyed the hell out of it, even if I still like the first one more.

Probably won't happen, but I'd love to see the upset of Ouija beating Jack Reacher at the box-office.

Madea because the audience for Jack Reacher 2 will be staying home this weekend to watch the Cubs on Saturday and NFL on Sunday.

That's a very big stretch. He's decent, at best.

Ti West and Adam Wingard are definitely the best modern horror filmmakers.

I have a theater near me that's pretty lazy when it comes to switching out trailers for movies that have been playing for weeks. I'll frequently go see something on its third or fourth week and get a trailer for something that's already out (and sometimes already come and gone). Kind of irritates me, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone else here in town.

Waiting on CinemaScore to release the scores for these movies...

What do you have against Gal Gadot? Also, I wouldn't call B v S a flop. Sure it didn't make as much as WB wanted but it was hardly a flop.
