I am not sure he deserved it this year as he made a couple of errors, but he is definitely the greatest fielding pitcher I ever witnessed. He had cat-like reflexes for liners up the middle.

Go Greg! As a Braves fan, I've been holding out hopes that he'd return to the team, but it's looking like he's going to retire. He has had a tremendous career and I'll always remember him as one of the greatest pitchers of all time.

The Gold Glove might be the dumbest award in all of sports. They always give it to the same guys, regardless of if they actually deserve it. There is no way Maddux deserved it this year. He didn't pitch the whole season, and he did make some errors. I like Maddux, good guy and good player, but he was nothing special in any way this year.
