Under fine print it says maximum $20 retail value for free item

Could this just be due to Target Red Perks? Every 5,000 pts ($500) gives you a perk, one of which is a free movie or CD up to $20. There are 10 other perks.

Looks like a regional program for now. Hope they roll this out to everyone else soon. I easy spend over $500/month at Target.

It appears to have been a separate app thing, but it's being merged with cartwheel. I think they're still in the process of doing that.

For those too lazy to click on crazylikeafox11's link, seems only available in Raleigh-Durham, and are now expanding to the Denver, Houston, San Diego and St. Louis areas.

It was a separate app and was a sort of pilot in certain regions. The Red Perks app is no longer on the app store, but the app appears to still work on my phone.

I forget when they updated the cartwheel app to integrate Red Perks, early October maybe.
