Default I've wronged myself

I watched The Departed last night, but I forgot to change my PS3 back to 1080p. I didn't even notice the difference :-/... And I thought I had trained my eye well.

I had the 1080p unchecked under Display Settings, and 720 was the next highest. Does anyone know if Blu-Ray forces your TV to 1080p? Because it really looked like 1080p.

I thought you were having some play time by yourself and religious teachings got you on a guilt trip. Oh well.

No idea about what you're asking for, though.

No it doesn't, if your PS3 was only set to 720p that's what you got during playback.

To be honest mate it all comes down to viewing distances and screen sizes. If you were sitting far enough away on a small enough set then the differences between 1080p and 720p would'nt be much same as with a very small screen and SD Tv vs HD.

The KDL XBR will auto sense the signal and adjust accordingly. If you have an HD Cable box or sat reciever then you will see the signal type in the corner when you switch between SD and HD Channels. It is real quick and subtle but it is there .
