Don't know much about One 7 movies. Hopefully they do a good job with it.

They always struck me as a bit shady, and as an offshoot of the old, but also shady, MYA Communication DVD label, which was extremely hit or miss between some of the worst quality and some decent quality.

I don't think I've seen a blu-ray from them before now.

So One 7 Movies is a offshoot of Mya Communications which itself was a offshoot of NoShame Films? I don't collect DVDs so I don't have their releases but I think the company name banners they put on the covers look nice.

NoShame were pretty great. Mya were absolutely terrible as were One 7 Movies.

IIRC it was pretty much agreed upon that MYA was a bootleg operator, and while NoShame definitely put legit releases out in Italy, I have heard more than once that some of their US releases were a bit on the shady side, too (though they are absolutely worth getting, if you happen to find them).

Mya morphed into One7 and pretty sure all of both their releases were unauthorized, most were re titled and all were DVD only.

This is their first blu but I would approach with caution, doubt these tigers changed their stripes.

I'm still interested. All of the DVD releases of this film are non-anamorphic, though, so it would be nearly impossible for this not to be an upgrade.

I remember these guys One 7. Formerly Mya Communications. They seemed to be real fans of the films they released but, man, their DVDs were barely watchable. Let's hope they do a better job for BD

Anyone familiar with the label's past track record (with some DVD titles looking like murky VHS bootlegs) would be understandably skeptical, but it actually turns out to be a pretty solid transfer that skyrockets way, way past the Image release and actually makes the film somewhat pleasurable to watch. The original hyper-saturated colors are quite impressive now with blazing reds and blues in particular faring nicely, and the sleek, burnished look of the cinematography can now finally be appreciated. Some shots have a somewhat odd, processed look with what looks like some traces of either edge enhancement or weird scanning, but it's hit and miss throughout the film and not a colossal distraction.

That is some of the worst cover artwork of all time.

Pointless to have an Italian track with no English subs for the US market.

I cancelled my order! I'd rather wait for the other releases.
