Not that I care for the F&F series but why do they start with 6 and 7?? What's the logic behind that? Same thing with Resident Evil Afterlife being the first RE movie to hit UHD.

The Fast & Furious series would be nice next spring when the 8th movie hits theaters. Hopefully Universal releases those like they're about to do with the first 4 Bourne flicks.

Could be because they have to prep the earlier films for HDR and the like.

Because they're some of the most recent movies in either series, which serves two purposes: better picture quality/effects than the earlier instalments AND the later movies are more likely to still be bouncing around in people's immediate memories.

Mind you, Universal went against this with the Bourne series in UHD as they've released everything, even the Renner spin-off.

hmmm. should we post the obligatory "will these be in dolby vision?". supposedly DV is coming 1st half 17, F6 and F7 coming late March, i know Universal announced a deal with Dolby Vision earlier this year I believe, but March might be a wee bit too early.

I still think they were better off releasing the complete F&F series at once in both a collection box and seperate discs. I can imagine people who buy 6 and 7 will most likely want to buy the rest as well and preferably all at the same time. Oh well I just hope this is not going to be a regular thing...

I'd be happy with two FF movies being released over a few months apart, until they're all out. That way my wallet can breathe a sigh of relief. Obviously I'd love a boxset, but it'd probably cost as much as a small Spanish villa.

Yeah you're right, that would be better I guess.

I just hope with future franchise UHD releases, they will begin with the first movie and follow up on that.

Dude.. come on universal, I've been holding out all year for the first film to come out on UHD and you're only doing 6 and 7! The first was filmed on 35mm according to IMDB too.

If they do in fact only release 6 and 7 at first, my guess is because those are the biggest hits in the series(at least til 8 is released).

Fast and Furious 6 and 7 are up for pre-order on Platekompaniet. Nordic release date is March 27th 2017. But it is a bit puzzling that these releases are only mentioned in Scandinavia, at least so far.

Fast & Furious 6

Fast & Furious 7

Judging by Universal's treatment of Oblivion and Bourne Identity, I'm not holding my breath for any improvement on F&F.
