I'll see your link and raise you this:

http://www.dvdactive.com/reviews/dvd...collecion.html

If it's Smokey IS the Bandit Part 3 information you want as well, this covers the lot.

Hoo-boy! That's a great review. I'd so love to see what that original version of Smokey IS the Bandit Part 3 looked like!

Thanks! We tried to keep it objective but thorough and not a rant. Although as a finished movie, S&TB3 is an incredibly shoddy piece of work.

I'm late replying to this, but I just want to remark how much I enjoyed reading that review. That Smokey IS the Bandit script sounds fascinating, and really puts things into perspective as to why Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 is the way it is. I always thought Colleen Camp looked like she was annoyed throughout most of the film (certainly doesn't have the ease that Sally Field had) and her performance seems forced. By the sounds of things, her role was a lot more interesting before they re-did everything, so she was probably (justifiably) bitter about the whole experience...

The box set has gone down to £23.99 on Amazon and after reading these reviews, I think I'm gonna bite.

Anybody here than can check and report on the region status of the discs? I know Universal discs are usually, but not always Region Free. I don't know Fabulous Films normal record esp since II/III have no counterpart anywhere?
I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this too.

Guys, I have the discs of both Smokey and the Bandit 2 & 3 and can confirm they are Region B locked. I've purchased a few Fabulous Films releases of Universal titles and they have always been Region B locked.

Looks like he had been a member here for a while so you would think it would take something real bad to get a ban hammer.

Yeah, I assumed the "banned" label was a joke on his part. He didn't seem like the kind of guy who was cocky or belligerent...

too bad... I enjoyed reading his review.

You can get banned here for talking too loudly.

It's down to the mod's whim.

He didn't mention that to me earlier.

He's not the type to deliberately pick a fight or annoy someone on purpose in here.

Well hopefully it's just a temporary "ban."

I was "banned" last week for about four days because in a discussion about HMV Canada closing down, I basically sided with employees who were putting stuff aside to buy for themselves. Apparently this was tantamount to encouraging scamming. You can get banned on a whim here sometimes.

Just found out why my dear brother was banned.

Some mod didn't like an amusing but not explicit quip in a Fifty Shades thread.

He got a bluntly-worded message saying "take your bathroom humor elsewhere".

He's British - we don't have bathroom humor, we have toilet humour and we can also spell the word humour properly.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Unfortunately great power is all too often placed in the hands of the not-so-responsible.

I got banned for a joke thread that was posted before the warning. Something about swapping a slip
