Default Official Ps3 Game Glitches/fixes Thread!

Hey gang I am starting a thread to report our game glitches. I am very, very bummed that 9 hours into FALLOUT three and the "in game action button (R1) is stuck". Stuck like the character just keeps swinging/firing without me doing anything. Every load point is the same result. IF anyone has any solutions please post here. Hopefully the mods will make this STICKY. Thanks.

Did you ever think that it could be your controller could be the R1 problem?

My DS3, my R2 is WAY more sensitive then L2.

I don't know. Could be the controller? I'm having a controller issue myself.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=70720

Other than that, I never get game glitches. Well, actually I bought Pacific Rift two days ago and so far it has frozen on me once and a couple of glitches and frame rate stutters have occurred. As for the glitches, upon a vehicle reset (back to track), the car got stuck in the ground and started to have a seizure.

I've had a controller glitch with my Dual Shock controller, where my PS3 suddenly doesn't recognize it anymore for no reason and the only way for it to recognize it again is for me to restart the system. Happened more often in Wipeout HD than any other game, but also occurred in Bioshock.

So I have an issue...

When I put in a new game SOMETIMES they need to do a game update... well usually it loads a few percent then stops, then I retry, then stops but gets more percent. After about 5 or 6 tries it will finish... it's just annoying. It's on my kids 40gb. my 60 seems to do fine.

No, call Of Duty and Little Big Planet are playing just fine. I'm starting to reseach and see that many people are having lots of issues with FALLOUT 3.

Are you wireless? I have trouble with this myself periodically. N Router can only do so much.

I thought the disk-based-game updates were from the disk, not the server... But no, it was wired.

I've noticed something on LBP. When you start the game in the pod my sackboy drops from the top an immediately looked to the top left of the screen, and stayed doing that. Even when I went into a level he was staring in the exact same direction no matter which direction I was moving, kind of freaky!

I hear clearing the game cahce solves your problem Roland.

On the official forums, it has to do with a problem with one of the files.
Its the 4 or 5 gig file in the gamer data, this is not your saved game just
the cached files.

The game is never installed it just fills that data automatically.

That's likely because of how you hold your controller. The sixaxis controls the position of his head. If you click the L3 button, you can switch it to control his torso instead. It bugs me that I always seem to click L3 while playing and he stares dreamily into the stratosphere.

There is a glitch in COD5, on veteran, I stab the gas drum on the back of the truck on level 1, and the truck won't move, there is also a floating grenade behind the truck...

I had an incrediby sensitive R2 on oneof my old SIXAXIS controllers.
If you even brushed against it lightly, it would trigger.

good lord, so did i. first controller, first game: resistance. the R2 was the weapon wheel. i would not even have to press it, but rather just press R1 hard enough that the ambient energy would move it enough to open the weapon wheel. extremely frustrating. every time i was in a hectic fire fight i was running around switching weapons constantly. eventually i had to change the weapon wheel to L3 ( i think) and move "chat" to R2. i came very close to throwing that sixaxis into somebody's skull.

playing resistance 2 now and there are a lot of glitches that are game issues. the campaign has locked up on me 4 times now. the music and sound effects keep playing, but the picture freezes. i then have to cycle power on the PS3 and start back at the last save point. i also came to a situation in the game where i had to kill myself because there was no way to advance. my squad kept standing there and would not get on an elevator. these are just a couple of many that i have noticed.

Under the game tab of the xmb go up to the top you should see Game Date not the save file folder but the other, you should find in the Game Data the 4 or so Gig cache file.

Fallout 3 naturally fills that cache by itself so delete it and start fallout 3 again.
