I don't know much about how Zavvi pre-orders work, but is the release date for this seriously Dec 31, 2017???

Surely that date'll change as the film's home video release draws closer?

Yes, that is just a placeholder date until they have final confirmation of release date

Saw this thread before seeing the film, so I had no idea what the cover was all about. Now I've seen the film and can safely say this was the best possible choice for a cover. Definitely going to pick this up.

I just saw the movie today and...wow. I really, really liked it.

Liked it so much, I decided to pre-order this UK steelbook.

If it ends up being Region B locked, I can always pick up the US 4K UHD disc and place it inside this steelbook.

I really want this, but £22.99 is too much. Only SteelBooks with 3D discs included are usually this much. I was expecting it to be maybe £17.99. I'd pay £20 at the most

As it is, you'd be paying an extra £8 for the SteelBook case alone, if the standard Blu-ray is £14.99 on release (most are)

I think I'll leave this one, and just hope for a price drop at some point. Thought the film was incredible, but I don't mind waiting to watch it again - I've seen it twice, and less familiarity with it may be beneficial.

I loved the movie, and I love the steelbook, but with the high price I'm going to hold out for a premium retailer to add to the goodness with a lenticular slip. As critically acclaimed as the movie is (and rightfully so), it's not a steelbook that I expect will sell out quickly. (I'm usually wrong about these predictions...)

EDIT: According to the other forum, Film Arena has just added this to their list for next year.

Some are, some ain't.
No one knows for sure until it's released.

Zavvi isn't producing those steelbooks / Blu-rays btw. They are simply selling them and it always depends on the publisher.

Zavvi always declares them as region 2 (which should be B) to make sure that THEY don't get into trouble.

I was going to pre-order this, if it isn't for certain Region B, its a bit much just for the artwork... still, I'm tempted.

Not to mention that's still TBC artwork. If I had to guess, that artwork isn't going to stay. The WWA is probably what it will be IMO.

If there was going to be a US steelbook it'd be preorderable by now huh? Might have to pick this up. I don't usually go for steels with titleless fronts but this is an amazing design.

They charge upon shipping, and I've only ever seen them ship in cardboard.
