Does Nocturnal Animals have any animals even in it? It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of those which animals/creatures are a major aspect.

Captain America: Civil War –

We had a panther, two spiders, a falcon, and an ant. Obviously kidding, but cool idea for a thread. It's been a good year for animal movies.

There's also A Street Cat Named Bob. And we had two documentaries on horse racing, Dark Horse and Harry and Snowman.
