which blu-software for pc - Blu-ray Forum

Sorry for the noob question but what software do I need to be able to watch blu-rays on my pc and where can I get it? Is there a cheap easy solution to making this happen? Thanks in advance for all your help.

PowerDVD 8 Ultra
WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray
ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre

All about $89-$99 each.

This is all assuming the machine is able to handle the load and is HDCP compliant from drive to display.
I personally prefer ArcSoft TMT.

I use PowerDVD Ultra 7.3 and TMT. TMT was $69 last week from ArcSoft. I like TMT better than PowerDVD as the SQ is much better than that of PowerDVD on my setup.

I just tried Band of Brothers US version. TMT plays just fine, but PowerDVD Ultra 7.3 4407 failed on my XP MCE SP3. I like TMT much better than PowerDVD now.

That is because Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre can decode the HD audio correctly (TrueHD/DTS-HD MA) while PowerDVD can not.
