Guess they resigned to finally showing it in silver rather than white. It looks alright.

Looks beautiful IHMO, so does the Laputa one. Still don't get people's problem with the silver, but I agree it's better they are showing (what seems reasonable to assume is) a more accurate representation of what people will be able to order.

Silver Steelbooks just seem a little lazy. It's basically the stock metal before any paint is applied. It's not terrible looking, but it would look a lot nicer in white in my opinion.

White background would've been much better. Ah well at least the line continues.

I have no inherent issues with silver steelbooks. It's the fact that when you see white, you expect white.

Zavvi uses "sold out" as a place marker before it goes live.

No. AFAIK, Zavvi has not announced the pre-order date for this yet. They announced both the time and date for Laputa through Twitter.

Yeah I think we had this debate before for a previous Ghibli steelbook. I still don't get relevance of the term 'lazy', as though the steelbook elves ran out of paint and decided to go home instead of getting some more... .

Your opinion is your opinion of course, that's fine. I think white would have looked nice too, but I'm glad they stuck with the silver, which I personally think I like better than if it had been white.

Yeah, I get that, and I agree, the art online should be an accurate a representation as possible, whatever it is.

Anime masterpiece but not a big fan of the minimalist art.

While I like the design of this line, I still think it would look 10 times better in white rather than the steel/silver background
Hoping they add Pom Poko & Porco Rosso to the line & wondering if they will limit it to just films by Miyazaki or other directors.

I would love them to continue on with two Ghibli titles at a time every so often, but I'd be ok-ish with them stopping with Miyazaki's films too. But i think it'd be a shame if we don't at least get the three remaining Miyazaki films (re)released as steelbooks in this style.
