I just bought this DVD for $5 and then saw it for $3 in the next store I was in! Not a complaint, though, glad to see this -- I was afraid it would wind up with Twilight Time, just because it's John Huston.

Yup, seems to be the first title out of the gate judging by the poster. It says "ABC Motion Pictures" in the credits

It'd be cool if WHO WILL LOVE MY CHILDREN? got a future release. It was never released on video except overseas where it was released theatrically.

I am so happy about this. A real gem by the late Huston. Nicholson, Turner and Anjelica Huston are terrific. I got ripped off by the spanish bd-r. Can't wait for this release by Kino.

Best announcement I heard in like, evar! Now I can get get rid of that horrid Spanish disc (which I ended up getting for free because I never got it on the day it was supposed to arrive, so Amazon declared the package lost due to a snow storm and gave me a refunded, then it finally arrived three weeks after the original delivery date).

Also wonder if it will be a new transfer than what was on the DVDs, since there's no possible way Disney would only have a subpar, upscaled master to send to Kino.

My guess is that they'll give Kino creative freedom with the transfer, all Disney has to do is approve it.

Well, whatever they come up with (even if the film elements have issues that could be mistaken for remastering faults) has to be better than the Spanish BD I got, which is nothing more than an 1080i upscale of the Anchor Bay DVD with serious frame rate issues.

Wow, screen grabs look like absolute TRASH. Kino wants $30 for this? Absolute pass. This is when a dvd or even vhs projected onto a wall would be more intimate and charming, since the PQ clearly isn't a priority for this particular release. Nasty looking clumps of shit everywhere.
