United Kingdom Brain Damage (1988) coming from Arrow

http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk/shop/ind...product_id=938

Quote:
Synopsis:
IT’S A HEADACHE FROM HELL!

From Frank Henenlotter, the man behind such cult horror favourites as Basket Case and Frankenhooker, comes Brain Damage – the ultimate head-trip, now finally on Blu-ray!

Meet Elmer. He’s your local, friendly parasite with the ability to induce euphoric hallucinations in his hosts. But these LSD-like trips come with a hefty price tag. When young Brian comes under Elmer’s addictive spell, it’s not long before he finds himself scouring the city streets in search of his parasite’s preferred food source – brains!

Featuring late TV horror host John Zacherley as the voice of Elmer, Brain Damage boasts some of the most astonishing bad taste gore-gags ever realized, including the notorious “brain-pulling sequence” and a blow-job that ends with a distinctly unconventional climax.

Does anyone know if Synapse still holds the rights to this in the US? I am just wondering on the off-chance that Arrow might release it here in the states too in the future.

This can be ordered as normal away from Arrow eventually, can't it? Don't mind missing all the fluff as nice as it looks but the film and disc extras are going to be available as normal, right.

mmm this is only £17.99 and minus points £1.79 is £16
re release would be £12.99 so think prob worth extra couple of quid for this version
also you could always sell it or stuff you don't want
Ltd to just 1500 in UK and US so will prob sell quite quick and when OOP price will go up

Is this confirmed? Are they releasing it at the same time in the US? It would be a shame to miss out on this release and then it doesn't get released in the US, or the US gets a watered-down release.

If the US is getting the same exact release, I'll wait for that one.

EDIT: Ah, I see it's listed on the US section of the forum also. Great news indeed! A very fun film.

The last Hennenlotter golden age title to go along with the lovely Frankenhooker and Basket Case trilogy BD's. It's an absolute classic.

Somewhat dissapointing the source will allegedidly be Synapse's 2003 1080p master used for their DVD release. Hennenlotter stated the 35m IP is missing.

According to Synapse its tied up with a major studio, its why they werent able to do the release themselves (initially).

Does it bother anyone else that they got the name "Aylmer" wrong in multiple spot in the press release? It's not Elmer.
