Default I can't believe Over the Hedge never made it to Blu-ray.

For the last couple of years I've been keeping an eye out for this one at Disc Replay, Half-Priced Books, and Target (because they have alot of animated movies).

I had assumed that Over the Hedge came out on BD in 2009/2010 and was just hard to find now.

So finally, I typed it on the Seach Line here and apparently it never came out...

I still have the DVD, but it's still shocking to me that a big animated movie like this from a major studio is AWOL.

It's a fun movie too, what a shame.

Same for Shark Tale.

There are other missing Dreamworks animated films, Antz, Road to El Dorado, Prince of Egypt, Sinbad and Quest for Camelot, but it's more surprising to me that Over the Hedge and Shark Tale have not made it to Blu-ray.

There are several Dreamworks titles including this, Shark Tale, and Flushed Away.

Or more important than all of those. Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Ware-Rabbit

Which won the academy award for best Animated feature.

No blu-ray release anywhere in the world.

95 on RT and 7.5 on IMDB. So it was a well received film.

DreamWorks should do an animation boxset with at least 4-5 movies (more is better).

I'm sure they've already made HD versions available for streaming, how hard could it be.

This is why people who traded-in thier whole DVD collection are fools.

Over the Hedge, Shark Tale, Flushed Away, Antz, and Curse of the Ware Rabbit have all either been broadcast in HD on TV or are available on iTunes in HD. Maybe not quite BD quality but way better than DVD.

Yeah, it's a shame this has never made it to blu. It's one of my favorite animated movies and imo is better than anything Pixar has put out over the last 10 or so years.

DreamWorks Animation has definitely been slacking when it comes to their older animation releases.

Looked through my DVDs for a laugh, my Flushed Away DVD has dried out.

It had a blue liquid pack in the clear cover, kinda like the Saw blood pack.

Wow, that's a bizarre correlation...

Anyway, the Flushed Away pack is now just a blue stain and a bunch of powder at the bottom.

I would gladly pick up all 3 mentioned, there was a rumor a while back that Flushed Away was going to be released but that never happened.

I can't believe it either. I always thought this movie was decent--great humor, fun characters, fast pace, solid animation style, and even a bit of social commentary. Behind The Abyss and True Lies, this might be one of the remaining movies I want most on Blu-Ray.

One of the most underrated animated films I've seen. A Blu-ray release would be great.

Solaris is getting a release in Germany in March. Hopefully someone releases it here too. Twilight time originally said they had Panic Room, but I guess things fell through, or they're still working on it

Forget that A bug's life ripoff. Far better dreamworks animation like the aforementioned over the hedge need a release.

Chicken Run as well, though it's at least been released overseas. Pretty much all of them were at least reasonably enjoyable.

I have the DE disc of Chicken Run and it looks and sounds great. Region free as well.

Yep, ridiculous... I ended up buying Over the Hedge and Shark Tale on DVD from Walmart when they were $5 each a few months ago, because they're among the rare few DVDs that come with HD UV codes.
