I used to live in Florida, and visited the store in Tallahassee a few times. I never thought very much of it. No surprise stores like this are closing up shop.

The real question is how did it manage to stay open this long?

CompUSA/TigerDirect held out from 2010 to 2015 until they closed all their stores up cause of CEO bull****.

I worked from 2010 to 2012 for a CompUSA and ended up quitting before Thanksgiving. The manager there had a fit and berated me on the radio to the employees (this wasn't publicly broadcast but was on a private channel the employees used to talk to each other). One of the other supervisors worked to make me stay but told me to get the heck out when he caught that berating on the radio.

I went back in less than six months later just to say hi, and nearly every person I knew there at the time I left was gone (or wasn't working that day). And it was dead.

Even a new paint job under the TigerDirect moniker didn't save them from going under.

HHGregg just felt like it was trying to be the next Sears...

It's a decent place to practice haggling, though I never bought anything from them. The employees tend to follow you around like dogs.

I never set foot into the one that is near me it took over the Circuit City which i actually miss cause they had electronics as well as movies and cds used to go there and then Best Buy almost all the time and get all of the new releases and such too. I'm hoping that they have deals on there 4K tvs either at the store and online i believe i read that that should start sometime in the month of April which is just around the corner too!.

I could tell you horror stories about some of their warranties, employees, and products, but I'll bite my tongue.

It's a high class Brandsmart IMO.
