Hi,
I have a large UV library. Is there a faster way to add movies to your library than clicking on each film individually? Ideally if there was a way to import an xml or something like that. Thanks, Jim Last edited by Krimreaper; 03-04-2017 at 05:21 PM. |

The question does not make sense to me.
XML is for old codes that require a disc to authorize the digital copy, so nothing of the sort would be a fast-track to adding UV I'm not sure what you mean by faster way to add movies, other than copy and paste a code you received, and redeem it that way (rather than typing it in). If you mean Disc to Digital, then that's a different story, but is still not "quick", you still have to load each disc one by one |

I'm pretty sure he's talking about he has a large collection of UV movies and wants to add them to his blu-ray.com library in a quick way other than adding each title individually.
edit: I guess someone else had the same thought |

Yes both of you are correct. I just want to add all my Vudu at all UV titles to my library quicker than one by one by search. Even going to the uv titles and hoving doesn't seem to be a quick way to add.

Ah, okay, understood.
Here's how I did it: 1. one day buckled down and entered them one by one 2. after that day, I kept up, entered new additions on at least a weekly basis. Still one by one, but if I keep up with it, it's less tedious I had the same thought when I started, but could not come up with a means to do it. I have an excel back-up file of the same thing (all Vudu/UV/DMA titles), but could not think of a way to export it or the Vudu listings. This would mainly be because this site offers only limited (naturally) access to this database of our collection. In other words, we COULD do some sort of software trick to transfer data, but we would have to have greater access to this site's database, or a differing system of how we catalogue our collections (independent of the site's internal structure). In short, the service of displaying/recording our collection is currently only possible by typing the titles in one by one. Casual users don't get access to broader programming or data entry options that might allow an "XML" option of easy data transference. I worked with converting data from one database to another (for a systems change-over). Tags for the data records were a problem. This might be more straight-forward as a simple title transfer, but even here there are sometimes differences in the UV entries (theatrical vs unrated version, and so on) |

Thank you CrackedKnee, yeah I've been doing that a little at a time. Basically one letter per day. So xml is out. I was thinking that there would be an easy way to do a search say uv action movies. Then once you have that list you could just hover over the title and click the add to library button, like you can do with a name specific search. If there's something like that I've missed let me know. Thanks.

I added all the Star Trek movies using D2D, then when I went to add those to my collection, I just put in "star trek", and clicked each entry from the pop-up list that I wanted to add. Of course, that was a special case. Once in a blue moon titles are close enough in title for some reason, that I can add 2 (maybe even 3) from a single search term |
