Agree this is the only way the movie would work but it sounds like Blizzard isn't willing to put in the effort to do it. If they do live action or have crappy CGI it won't work.

I can just imagine the first night of release at 12 am, all the would be elfs, orcs and magic users coming out into the night to go see it

Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing for Legendary along with Blizzard and Atlas Entertainment's Charles Roven and Alex Gartner. Charles Leavitt wrote the script.

Legendary is eyeing a fall 2013 start for a 2015 release.

They should have made a feature length South Park World of Warcraft movie, that is still one of the best South Park episodes I have ever seen, it had me in stitches.
