MOST emotional?
The Passion of the Christ.
Then...

2. John Q.
3. Hardball
4. Babel
5. The Pursuit of Happyness
6. P.S. I Love You (Ridiculously emotional...the movie is themed around DEATH)
7. The Lion King
8. Wall-E (It was romantic throughout, so that's still emotional)

And my mom always says Sophie's Choice is the saddest movie she's ever seen but I've never seen it.

United 93 was pretty good, but I think the A&E film Flight 93 had more emotional impact as it showed more of what happened on the plane then on the ground.

I think the film that SHOCKED me the most when it first came out has to be Natural Born Killers.

Mel Gibson's the Passion of the Christ.

I could hardly contain myself from laughing at the theater of movie goers who clearly did not separate fantasy from reality. Examples: The rope Judas used was too short to kill him instantly, yet it did. The thin branch he hung from was too small to conceivably hold his weight, yet it did. The weapons used at the scourging were gross exaggerations of what would have been historically accurate. Even accounts of key scenes taken from Hebrew and Greek texts do not paint the gruesome picture Gibson chose to portray.

So yes, I'll say it - Mel Gibson's MOVIE 'The Passion of the Christ' was laughable.

And PS, yes, I know it's essential to suspend your disbelief when watching a movie, but the theater patrons I saw this movie with were bawling uncontrollably as if they were watching an actual execution, or at least a factual representation of the execution, and I was disappointed that nobody else there stood up and said 'Hey! That's not how it would have happened! What a bunch of crap!'

PPS - My lack of tears and blubbering did make my friends look at me a little weirdly for a while.
