If you can wait till March get the Box Set. The pre order is up at Amazon UK. It's Batman Legacy.

Default Batman UK is region Free

Batman all four "origional" films are confirmed to be region free and good for import. you can get from amazon.co.uk or direct link after searching on this site if you adjust your preferences to show uk hits.

Any idea why the Batman Legacy box set would be missing Batman Begins?!! Seems silly not to include it in the boxset.

Batman Begins is a reboot of the franchise, so it makes sense that it's not included.

Since these are supposed to come out next week, do we at least have confirmation that they're not going to be canceled/delayed at the last minute?

I'm just waiting to find out if Batman Returns is uncut, or still edited like previous UK releases have been.

I read on another forum that the Batman Returns Blu-ray is rated 15, up from the 12 rating that the cut version had. There's a good chance it won't be edited, but we probably won't know for sure until it's released.

Batman Returns was always a 15 on home video, the 12 rating only extended to cinema releases when it was released.

I'm wondering if the extras will play in a U.S. player, since they might be in standard definition. It's a bit frustrating that there is so little information about these discs five days before the release date.

Of course they will. SD content can still be displayed through a US player, and it will appear in SD. It doesn't matter if it's a US region, or UK region, as long as the disc itself will play in a US player, it will all work just fine.

Well it was a legitimate question since PAL SD content can NOT play in a US player. There are some studios that use the PAL format for SD content for their European Blu-rays.

But thankfully Warner Bros. is not one of them. There is obviously no guarantee, but I'm extremely confident that the WB releases of these Batman films will be both region free and with compatible SD extras where applicable.

On a few Blu-ray discs from Europe, the extras do not work on a U.S. machine because they're in PAL format (like All the Boys Love Mandy Lane). That's what I was worried about.

Oh ok. I didn't know, cause my TV plays both NTSC and PAL.

I think the problem is that the PS3 doesn't.

Yeah, the US PS3 doesn't even try to play them. If you select a PAL item from the menu, the PS3 looks like it's about to start a new chapter (play icon appears in the lower left, etc.) then just flashes and goes right back to the menu you started at.

It's not about the TV. it's about the playback machine.

All Warner extras are 480p NTSC. I have many UK Warner discs and all of them are 480p NTSC extras. They even have the FBI warning logo at the beginning, which shouldn't be on there since we are in the UK. Its because Warner use one master disc to use throughout the world which is why they use region free discs all the time.

It's pretty self explanatory. The boxed set is coming out later.
