The film is being kept under wraps but it is a science fiction movie and is said to be as original as Swiss Army Man, the film that won them U.S. Dramatic directing honors at 2016 Sundance with Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe starring, the latter as a gassy corpse. The Daniels will write, direct and produce the sci-fi film. It is untitled, as is the production venture that the Russo Brothers set up with the Huayi Brothers Media Corporation last summer. This is their first major film deal for the brothers, who follow Captain America: Civil War by directing back to back sequels to The Avengers. Those are blockbusters, but the Russo siblings started in the art house space, before they became Marvel blockbuster guys.

The Russos will produce with Scheinert and Kwan, and Jonathan Wang, the latter of whom was their partner on Swiss Army Man. Josh Rudnick at Mosaic will be exec producer with Russo Brothers partner Mike Larocca. Mosaic and attorney Jeff Endlich rep The Daniels.

Yes! 'Swiss Army Man' is one of the most unique and pleasing movies I've seen in ages. In the end I laughed and cried at the same time. And I just keep smiling when I think of it. I'll follow everything the Daniels duo does. Good news.

At least the Russos aren't directing. And I guess "Marvel blockbuster guys" is a nice way of saying "TV hacks who got lucky".

Meanwhile, I imagine STX will release the film as they have released all but one of the Huayi Brothers projects since their formation (that one was Rock Dog).

They're also severing as producers alongside Daniels. Says so right in the article.

Gotcha. If they were directing I'd be more excited; as producers, I'm ambivalent. Never saw Swiss Army Man, might check it out at some point but it's not a priority.

I thought it was a wonderful film but it's highly divisive; Some (like me) found it whimsical and heartwarming while others find it gross and childish.

Because walking out of a movie is an extremely dumb thing to do and a waste of money.

I'm fine with gross and childish haha, I'll give it a shot if I'm in the mood. I'm a bigger fan of Radcliffe than Dano, so having the former be the corpse is kind of a buzzkill.

While he is a corpse, he does talk throughout the film. Dano's interactions with him and their relationship is what actually makes Radcliffe's character slowly become alive again.

I've only walked out of a few movies, but I'd rather walk out and "waste" money than sit through something I can't stand. My time is more important than $12-14 that I may have spent on a movie. Besides, the money was technically wasted the moment I spent it on a movie that I ended up disliking. To each their own.

But ... The only reason to get excited about this is the very fact that the Swiss Army Men ARE the directors. You need to see that movie!

Radcliffe's role is just as big as Dano's, rest assured
